Can we get SSI Open Water Diver training with Moorea Blue Diving?
Of course, our instructors are authorized to offer SSI training. Read the "Initiation and Dives" page for more détails. How long does this training last ? This training can be completed in 3 half days: 2 afternoons and 1 morning. To better enjoy your stay, we recommend that you contact us before your trip, to open your E-learning account. So you can validate your theoretical lessons and make only the technical part during your holidays. These lessons are available on-line in all the languages. Can we start an OWD training program with Moorea Blue Diving and finish it elsewhere? Conversely, can we begin a training program elsewhere and finish it with you? It is absolutly possible to start a SSI training program with Moorea Blue Diving then continue and finish it wherever you wish. Conversely you can resume with us a SSI training program started somewhere else. How many diving sites are there? We visit some fifteen diving spots, which are them located on Moorea's North Coast, this for proximity reasons, so as not to extend the transportation time at the expense of the time spent diving. How long does it take to access the diving sites?
From our location, the access time to the diving sites vary from 5 to 30 minutes. Visit the various sites on the spots map. Is it possible, for someone who doesn't dive to accompany someone on the boat? For safety reasons, we can't leave one or several unattended persons on the boat during our immersion time, furthermore it's often uncomfortable for a not diver to stay 3 hours on the boat, about 2 hours at anchor + 1 hour of shipping, and the snorkeling or the swimming turns out dangerous per exemple in the Shark's Valley. We only accept the not divers on the boat during the intiation, which are made in lagoon. It's free and limited to 2 people maximum. Is equipment supply included in the price of the dive? The loaning of equipment is included in the price. It includes a 3mm wet suit, a mask, fins, a stabilizing jacket, a pressure regulator with gauge, a depth gauge, an "octopus", a lead belt, and a tank filled with tiare scented air from Moorea. Should we reserve our diving time? It is preferable to reserve your diving time if you want to be sure to dive when you wish. This may be done by e-mail, on site at the Center, the office is open from 7:00AM to 8:00AM and from 11:30AM to 4:30PM, or at the hotel's Activities Desk |
What method of payment do you accept?
Divers residing at Hotel Manaval Resort & Spa may pay the cost of their dives at the same time as their room, at the end of their stay. For divers not staying at the hotel, we accept cash and foreign currencies at the rate applicable at the reception desk, travelers checks as well as Visa, Master Card, Carte Bleue and Euro Card credit cards. Should I supply a medical certificate? You don't have to supply a medical certificate or pay a registration fee or bring a federal license.
